The third edition of the Turkish Airlines Antalya Open, which is part of the enhanced grass-court swing, kicked off at Kaya Palazzo Belek on Saturday with the qualifying. Top seed and former World No. 12 Viktor Troicki defeated local wild card entry Yanki Erel 6-1, 7-5.
The 33-year-old Serbian sent down seven aces, winning 84 per cent of his first service points to advance in exactly one hour of play. Troicki will next take on Roberto Ortega-Olmedo of Spain.
No. 2 seed Steve Darcis also made it into the final round of the qualifying following a comfortable 6-2, 6-2 win over Turkish wild card Sarp Agabigum in only 51 minutes. The 35-year-old Belgian will play Spaniard Carlos Gomez-Herrera for a spot in the main draw.

Third favourite Goncalo Oliveira of Portugal will face Kevin Krawietz of Germany, who will also team-up with Andreas Mies as the top-seeds in the doubles competition. US-American JC Aragone will meet Marc-Andrea Huesler of Switzerland on Sunday.
Paire top seed of the main draw
The third edition of the €507,480 ATP 250 grass-court event is led by two Frenchmen. World No. 28 Benoit Paire, who won the clay-court title in Lyon last month, is the top seed while returning finalist Adrian Mannarino is seeded second. Defending champion Damir Dzumhur of Bosnia and Herzegovina and former Top 10 players Pablo Carreno Busta of Spain and Serbia’s Janko Tipsarevic are also part of the line-up.
“I can say that facilities in Antalya have shown great improvement over the years. I also liked the surface of the courts during my practice. I hope this quality lasts until the end of the tournament. Existing facilities are more than enough for the ATP level,” Carreno Busta said.
