Albert Ramos-Vinolas has clinched his second title on the ATP Tour. The 31-year-old Spaniard defeated Cedrik-Marcel Stebe of Germany 6-3, 6-2 in Sunday’s singles final of the J. Safra Sarasin Swiss Open Gstaad.
Ramos-Vinolas saved four of the five break points he faced, capitalizing on four of his own seven break point chances to secure victory in one hour and 21 minutes.

“I feel great. After a long time waiting for this moment again, I’m really happy. I think I did a great match today, also a great tournament. So I think my game was perfect… and I will never forget Gstaad,” said Ramos-Vinolas, who won his maiden trophy on the ATP Tour at 2016 Bastad.
“The conditions were tough today. Albert was rock solid as he was all week. He deserves to win,” Stebe said, as quoted by the ATP Tour website. “It was an amazing week for me here in Gstaad, I played very good tennis. Of course, it wasn’t easy to play two matches yesterday. I gave everything today, but it wasn’t enough. That’s tennis.”
Stebe, who used a protected ranking to enter the tournament, collected 150 ATP Rankings points and €48,870 in prize money.
Gilles/Vliegen win second ATP trophy
Over on Court 1, Sander Gille and Joran Vliegen captured the doubles title. The No. 4 seeds from Belgium upset the tournament top seeds Philipp Oswald from Austria and Filip Polasek of Slovakia 6-4, 6-3. The encounter lasted just 56 minutes. It was the second title for Gille and Vliegen following their maiden triumph in Bastad last week.
