Three US-American men will vie for a finals berth on Saturday, as unseeded Noah Rubin upset No. 1 seed Andreas Seppi in the stage of the final eight at the Oracle Challenger Series New Haven.

On a chilly and blustery Friday at the Yale Tennis Center, Rubin won eight points more than the World No. 77 from Italy to secure a 7-6(4), 7-6(4) victory in one hour and 54 minutes. The 23-year-old from Long Island, New York will next take on No. 6 seed Tommy Paul, who defeated fellow US-American and Oracle Challenger Series Houston champion Bradley Klahn 6-4, 6-4 in 68 minutes.

No. 3 seed Damir Dzumhur rallied past Michael Mmoh from the United States, 3-6, 6-2, 6-1. The World No. 99 from Bosnia and Herzegovina broke his opponent’s serve six time to advance in one hour and 47 minutes and will face off against US-American No. 9 seed Marcos Giron in the other semi-final match-up. Giron upset second seeded Canadian Brayden Schnur 6-3, 6-2 in just under one hour of play.
