John Millman is the champion of the 2019 Kaohsiung OEC Open held on hard courts at the Kaohsiung Arena. The 30-year-old emerged victorious from Sunday’s all-Australian singles final with Marc Polmans, winning 6-4, 6-2.
Millman, who advanced to the championship match by dropping only one set, saved all four break points he faced and capitalized on three of his own five chances to prevail after one hour and 22 minutes.

Millman clinched his 12th ATP Challenger career trophy, his first of the season, and took away from Taiwan $21,600 in prize money as well as 125 ATP Ranking points.
Earlier in the day, Cheng-Peng Hsieh and Tsung-Hua Yang delighted their home crowd by lifting the doubles trophies. The No. 3 seeds defeated the Evan King and Hunter Reese from the United States 6-4, 7-6(4). The encounter lasted one hour and 24 minutes.
