Organizers of the Grass Court Open Halle announced Wednesday that Karen Khachanov signed a three-year contract with the ATP 500 event. “The organization of the tournament is great and the atmosphere is fantastic,” the 23-year-old Russian stated in a press release.
Tournament director Ralf Weber said: “He is one of the most interesting and exciting players.”
Khachanov has already been the fourth Top-10 player to join the 2020 line-up. Swiss maestro Roger Federer, Alexander Zverev of Germany and Japan’s superstar Kei Nishikori will also come to Germany in June next year. The 28th edition of the Grass Court Open Halle will be held from June 13 to 21, 2020 in Halle, Westphalia.
