Koaykul Plays Golden Match In Doha

ITF World Tennis Tour

DOHA, December 9, 2019

The world of tennis provides all kind of records, statistics and achievements, but one of the most uncommon is the so-called Golden match. Krittin Koaykul of Thailand achieved this feat in the first round of the qualifying at the ITF World Tennis Tour M15 event in Doha on Monday.

The 24-year-old, who is ranked ATP World No. 1,369 and advanced to the quarterfinals of the ITF M15 hard-court event in Meshref, Kuwait last month, won all 48 points to topple unranked Artem Bahmet from the Ukraine 6-0 6-0 in 22 minutes.

Twenty-seven-year-old Bahmet, who apparently made his first appearance on the Pro Circuit, could barely hit the ball several times, showing a level completely away from professional tennis. The images speak for themselves.
