Stefanos Tsitsipas retained an ATP Tour title for the first time on Sunday, defeating Felix Auger-Aliassime 6-3, 6-4 to lift his second Open 13 Provence trophy in Marseille.
The No. 2 seed of the ATP 250 event advanced to the final without dropping set and converted three of his nine break point chances against the Canadian teenager to finish the encounter after one hour and 26 minutes.

“I played a good quality of tennis today and I showed everyone what I am capable of,” said Tsitsipas. “Serving well, returning well, just being there behind every single ball, executing, dominating and being clever in my decision-making.”
The 21-year-old Greek is the first man since Thomas Enqvist in 1998 to win back-to-back Marseille crowns.
“I am really happy that I get to break records and be part of some records. It is what keeps me going in the sport,” said Tsitsipas. “It makes me hungry for more, in general. I want to go out there and break records and do things that others haven’t done yet. That’s what defines my personality.”
The World No. 6 pocketed €116,030 as well as 250 ATP-Ranking points in Southern France.
Mahut/Pospisil win doubles title
Earlier on Sunday, Nicolas Mahut of France and Canadian Vasek Pospisil took the doubles title. The unseeded duo beat the tournament’s No. 2 Wesley Koolhof from the Netherlands and Nikola Mektic of Croatia 6-3, 6-4. The final lasted one hour and 12 minutes.
“It was an incredible week. Honestly, I thought we played really clean the whole way through from the first round,” said Pospisil. “We played really solid. Served well, returned well all week and we had a great energy on the court. That’s obviously very important in doubles.”
Mahut added: “It is always special to win a tournament at home. We don’t play that much in France. When you have the opportunity to play in France, most of the time I do it. When you have the chance to play with a good partner like Vasek, it is a great opportunity. I am really happy about this win.”
