One of the few remaining clubs on the ATP Challenger Tour to be founded in the 19th century, the TC Heilbronn Trappensee E.V. 1892 has hosted the NECKARCUP for the past five years. Germany’s Jan-Lennard Struff captured the title at the inaugural edition of the clay-court tournament in 2014. One year later, current World No. 7 Alexander Zverev broke into the Top 100 for the first time after lifting the trophy in 2015.
Nikoloz Basilashvili of Georgia claimed his fifth ATP Challenger career title winning the third edition when he beat Struff in the final in straight sets. Serbia’s Filip Krajinovic is a two-time champion of the tournament, taking the title in 2017 as well as in 2019. #NextGenATP German Rudolf Molleker concluded his fairytile run by celebrating his maiden triumph on the ATP Challenger Tour in 2018.
