STARNBERG, May 23, 2020
The new DTB German Pro Series has found two important partners: Porsche AG and Tannenhof Resort Sport & Spa. This was announced by the German Tennis Federation (DTB) on Friday. The national tennis event will be held over a total of eight weeks at various locations across Germany and is intended to give German tennis players the chance to pick up match practice during the suspension of the professional tours.
The women’s tournament series is presented by Porsche and is called “German Ladies’ Series presented by Porsche“. As a DTB premium partner, the sports car manufacturer has been a sponsor of women’s tennis in Germany for many years. The engagement includes the Porsche Team Germany in the Fed Cup as well as the Porsche Talent Team and the Porsche Junior Team, in which the best young players in the country are supported. 14 players of the different Porsche teams will be part of the 24 women line-up.
The men’s tournament series will be held as the Tannenhof Resort German Men’s Series. Tannenhof has been an official hotel and training partner of the German Tennis Federation since 2017 and is involved as a partner in the DTB initiative “Germany plays tennis” and as a presenting partner of the ATP Challenger event in Hamburg. 32 men will open the competition in the week of June 8 in eight groups of four players.
