Professional tennis has returned to Hungary with the inaugural Budapest Kupa national exhibition event, held last weekend in the county’s capital city. Reka-Luca Jani won the women’s competition while Fabian Marozsan captured the men’s singles title.

Twenty-eight-year old Jani, the current World No. 201 in the WTA Rankings, defeated Fanny Stollar in three sets on Sunday morning followed by Marozsan’s straight-sets victory over Marton Fucsovics, who is ranked inside the top 100 of the ATP Rankings. Twenty-year-old Marozsan, who lifted his maiden trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour in Antalya, Turkey last year, is sitting on a career-high World No. 523.

Later in the day, Stollar and Fucsovics teamed up to win the mixed doubles competition.
