The Tannenhof Resort German Men’s Series – as part of the DTB German Pro Series – will kick off in Neuss and Großhesselohe on Tuesday. The group stage in Troisdorf and Überlingen will start on Thursday. In total, 32 players divided in eight groups duel on four consecutive match days for spots in the intermediate round, which will take place from June 23 to 26 at different locations.

The schedule promises exciting matches right from the start, as top seed Jan-Lennard Struff (ATP 34) will meet youngster Benito Sanchez-Martinez (ITF Juniors 114) for the first time.

I have been practicing for the last couple of weeks at the tennis base in Kamen. Practice, however, is very different from real matches and that’s why I’m looking forward to the start of the Tannenhof Resort German Men’s Series. The tournament series offers many German players the opportunity to play matches again. I am happy that the competition will start again,” says Struff.

Laura Siegemund will headline the women’s field at the German Ladies’ Series presented by Porsche. “I have been in Florida for the past few months keeping my fitness up, even though the training was not so easy without having a particular goal in mind. That’s why I’m looking forward to compete again,” says Laura Siegemund.

“I’m really excited to see how quickly I can get back into tournament mode. In any case, it is a good preparation for the day when the WTA tour will continue.”

Tennis Channel International will broadcast the DTB German Pro Series.
