PARIS, June 13, 2020 (Roland Garros Press Release)
Launched on 23rd May, the #RGUnited initiative has enabled tennis fans to get their Roland-Garros fix on the dates the tournament was originally scheduled (18th May-7th June) by posting a wide range of content on its various digital platforms. From today onwards and together with Mastercard, Roland-Garros is continuing to raise money for the AP-HP Foundation.
From 23rd May to 7th June, Roland-Garros was busy raising money in aid of the AP-HP Foundation – which supports the AP-HP staff who are fighting this epidemic every day – by rolling out various charitable actions such as the Roland-Garros eSeries by BNP Paribas, which reached its target of €50,000 in donations. Roland-Garros is now continuing its fundraising efforts with Mastercard, the tournament’s Official Supplier.
La Griffe Roland-Garros will donate €5 to the hospital foundation for every product sold that features the RG20 poster by Pierre Seinturier (with the exception of any stamp-collecting products). Mastercard, the Parisian Grand Slam’s official supplier, is further supporting this initiative by donating an additional €5 for every purchase made from the poster collection when using Mastercard. These Roland-Garros souvenirs, including the poster and t-shirts, will help raise money for a good cause and are available from the boutique.rolandgarros.com website from Tuesday 9th June. As fr3om the beginning of July, other accessories will be included (mugs, notepads, etc.). This operation will run until the end of the tournament this autumn.
