“I’m very pleased with my performance today and in the last two days,” said Stebe. Despite the clear result, the 29-year-old praised his opponent. “Max is very advanced for his age. Sometimes he is a bit hectic, but he has good shots and if he keeps going, he will become a really good player.”
Stebe advanced to the semi-finals in Meerbusch, where he will be joined by Daniel Masur. The 25-year-old lost his last round-robin match to Johannes Haerteis 6-7, 6-1, 5-7, but qualified for the stage of the final eight.
At the Tennis Club Großhesselohe in Pullach, Maximilian Marterer defeated Kevin Krawietz 7-6, 6-4. Both players advance to the semi-finals.
The tournaments in Bavaria conclude on Friday with the play-off matches. With the final results from Neuss and Mülheim an der Ruhr the semi-finals will be set.
