Max Purcell at the UTR Pro Tennis Series

TA Press Release, June 30, 2020

The first UTR Pro Tennis Series in Australia event concluded in Sydney on Tuesday with Wollongong’s Ellen Perez taking out the women’s final with a 6-4, 6-4 win over Alexandra Bozovic, and Max Purcell (Belrose, NSW) defeating Aleksandar Vukic 6-4 6-4 in the men’s final.

Final round-robin matches continue in Melbourne and Brisbane tomorrow, before finals for each city are played on Thursday.

The UTR Pro Tennis Series provides players with the opportunity to compete for $450,000 in prize money following the months-long suspension of the international tours due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and is a key opportunity for players to return to tournament play. Strict biosecurity measures will be in place at each event.
