With “Red Bull Thiem, Set, Match”, Austria’s tennis star Dominic Thiem starts his own innovative and action-packed tournament series for ambitious tennis players. Starting August 8th, over 400 women and men will have the chance to compete against each other in six tournaments. It was important to Thiem to give the format its own personal character so that the offensive game, for which Thiem is known on the ATP Tour, will be promoted.

Matches will be played in a fast-4-format with tie-break at 3-3, a maximum of seven games and no-ad rule. Each winner counts twice.

As a special highlight, the two final matches of “Red Bull Thiem, Set, Match” will be played at the ERSTE Bank Open on the center court of the Wiener Stadthalle at the end of October in Vienna. In addition to the trophy, the winners can expect a personal training session with the current World No. 3.
