The winners of the first event of the International Premier League (IPL) presented by Merkur were crowned on Friday. The five-week international tennis exhibition is held on two different surfaces, clay and hard court, at the venue of the Blau-Weiß Halle Tennis Club in Westphalia, Germany.
Local favourite Mischa Zverev won all of his five round-robin matches in Group 1, Russia’s Alexey Vatutin remained undefeated in Group 3.
Fanny Stollar of Hungary came out on top of women’s Group 1. The second Group was won by Romy Kölzer from Germany. The quartet will be joined by Anna Klasen of Germany and her compatriot Yannick Maden in the Masters Event, which will be held from August 24 to 24.

The second event will start on Monday headlined by Sebastian Ofner from Austria, NextGenATP star Rudolf Molleker of Germany and Robin Haase from the Netherlands. Fanny Stollar will be action in action in the women’s draw.
The series, launched by Germany’s former Davis Cup player and current World No. 96 in the doubles ranking Andre Begemann, will be held between July 27 and August 30. Tickets are available on site at the ticket office. Matches will be played from Monday to Friday.
