Belgrade International Kicks Off

Belgrade International

STARNBERG, August 27, 2020

Professional tennis will return to Belgrade, Serbia. Following the Eastern European Championship, which took place in the months of June and July this year during the suspension of the international tennis tours due to the COVID-19 outbreak, the Tipsarevic Tennis Academy will host another exhibition tournament over the next five weeks.

The Belgrade International will be held at the sports complex run by former World No. 8 Janko Tipseravic. The combined event for women and men is taking place in a round-robin format in Serbia’s capital city starting the week of August 27.

A couple of players, who already competed in the European Eastern Championship, will be part of the line-up. On the men’s side Alexander Lazarov of Bulgaria, Marko Tepavac from Serbia as well as Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Aldin Setkic and Mirza Basic will step into action.

On the women’s list you will find young players such as 18-year-old Mihaela Djokovic of Serbia and Nefisa Berberovic of Bosnia and Herzegovina joined by Cemre Anil of Turkey and Mariana Drazic from Croatia.
