Daniil Medvedev can be seen playing for the fourth time in Rotterdam. He debuted in 2018 as a qualifier, being number 57 of the world. He beat Gilles Müller and PierreHugues Herbert, but was defeated in the quarterfinal by Andreas Seppi after three sets. He returned to Rotterdam in 2019 as number 16 in the ATP Ranking. He reached the semi-final, by consecutively beating Jeremy Chardy, Fernando Verdasco and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga. In the semi-final he lost in a beautiful match over three sets to Gael Monfils, who would go on to become the tournament winner. Earlier this year, as number 4 of the world, he lost against Vasek Pospisil in the first round.

The 48th ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament takes place from 6 to 14 February 2021. Richard Krajicek: “We have started preparing for the tournament. We are working from a plan where we can welcome fans in a safe and responsible way.
