M15 Setubal POR – Fanselow celebrates another title in Portugal
Following his title win in Faro early in the season before the suspension of the tour due to Covid-19, Sebastian Fanselow emerged victorious at the Grupo Re/Max Lounge Setubal Open 2020, hosted by the Clube de Tenis de Setubal.
The 28-year-old German edged out Brazilian qualifier Mateus Alves in the semi-finals in three sets.
Portuguese wild card entry Nuno Borges made the last step to the final with a straight-set win against Francesco Forti from Italy.
Unseeded Fanselow outpointed his 23-year-old rival in the title match 76-64 to secure a 6-4, 7-6 victory in one hour and 45 minutes. The former college player for Pepperdine University has lifted his 10th career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour.

In the doubles competition, the Portuguese tandem of Nuno Borges and Francisco Cabral clinched the title on home soil, beating the Brazilian duo Mateus Alves and Igor Marcondes in the championship match 6-2, 6-7, 10-7.
M15 Sharm El Sheikh EGY – Podzus earns first title of the season
Martins Podzus is the champion of the M15 Sharm El Sheikh tournament, held at Soho Square.
The Latvian No. 3 seed knocked off the tournament’s top favourite Denis Yevseyev from Kazakhstan in the stage of the final four in straight sets.
No. 2 seed Nick Chappell from the United States battled past Ukrainian No. 5 seed Vitaliy Sachko in the semi-finals in three close sets.
Twenty-six-year-old Podzus struck 11 aces in the championship match with both players gaining four breaks to prevail 6-4, 1-6, 7-5 after two hours and 16 minutes. The Riga native has celebrated his seventh title on the ITF World Tennis Tour.
M15 Monastir TUN – Grigelis captures back-to-back titles in Tunisia
Following his triumph at the same place last week, Laurynas Grigelis clinched another title at the Magic Tours tournament, hosted by the Hotel Skanes Family in Monastir.
The 29-year-old Lithuanian eased past Argentinian No. 8 seed Fermin Tenti in the stage of the last four in two sets.
Matias Franco Descotte from Argentina advanced to the final with a three-set win against Uruguayan No. 4 seed Martin Cuevas, the younger brother of Pablo Cuevas, who has captured six titles on the ATP Tour.
Klaipeda-born Grigelis won 79 per cent of his first-service points and fired seven aces in the title match to seal a 6-3, 6-4 win in 88 minutes. The No. 5 seed has lifted his 25th singles trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour in addition to his Challenger title in Aptos 2011.
