Kamil Majchrzak and Taro Daniel lead the semi-finals line-up of the Tennis Challenger Hamburg presented by Tannenhof. Top seed Majchrzak remained untroubled on Friday, winning 6-3, 6-1 against No. 7 seed Nikola Milojevic of Serbia.
The World No. 105 from Poland converted five of his 12 break-point opportunities to advance in one hour and 12 minutes.
“I feel very comfortable in Hamburg and the court suits me. The surface is a little slower, which gives me some time for my shots,” Majchrzak said.
Majchrzak, who hasn’t dropped a set this week in the Free and Hanseatic City, will next meet Sebastian Ofner. The 24-year-old Austrian edged past Roman Safiullin of Russia 7-6(4), 4-6, 6-4 in two hours and 10 minutes.
“It will be a difficult match,” Majchrzak commented on his upcoming task. “I’ve watched Sebastian and he looks pretty strong. It’s going to be an exciting match and I’m looking forward to it.”

No. 2 seed Daniel beat No. 6 seed Henri Laaksonen from Switzerland 6-1, 6-4. The World No. 122 from Japan saved the only break point he faced and capitalized on three of his own break point chances to seal victory in one hour and 13 minutes.
Next up for Daniel will be Botic van de Zandschulp from the Netherlands, who eliminated the last German in the tournament. Last week’s finalist from Ismaning defeated Cedrik-Marcel Stebe 6-3, 6-3. The encounter lasted one hour and 18 minutes.
