M15 Valldoreix ESP – Teenager Holger Rune clinches his second career title
Danish tennis hope Holger Rune emerged victorious from the WTT Vila de Valldoreix Rise For Good Trophy, hosted by the Club Esportiu Valldoreix, located in the Barcelona province.
The 17-year-old, who won the Roland Garros Junior Championships and was ranked junior World No. 1 in 2019, defeated Thomas Laurent from France in the stage of the last four in straight sets.
The tournament’s second favourite Javier Barranco Cosano won the all-Spanish semi-final encounter against his No. 3 seeded countryman Nikolas Sanchez Izquierdo in three sets.
Copenhagen-born Rune capitalized on six of his 13 break-point opportunities and lost four service games in the title match to secure a 7-6, 6-3 win after about two hours. The junior entry lifted his second singles trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour following his maiden triumph at Klosters, Switzerland, in September.

M15 Heraklion GRE – Evan Furness claims his third consecutive trophy in Crete
Evan Furness is the man to beat on the ITF World Tennis Tour. Following his two title wins at the same place in the last two weeks, the Frenchman lifted another trophy of the 17th Lyttos Beach ITF World Tour, held at the Lyttos Beach Tennis Academy.
The Pontivy native, who entered the tournament by special exempt, battled past the No. 8 seeded lefty Ryan Peniston from Great Britain in the semi-finals in two sets.
Lucas Catarina from Monaco, who entered the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters by wild card in 2018 and 2019, set the rematch of last week’s Heraklion final following a straight-set victory over Brazilian qualifier Mateus Alves.
Unseeded Furness outpointed his 24-year-old rival in the championship match 84-74 to secure a 6-3, 4-6, 6-1 victory in two hours and 14 minutes. The 22-year-old celebrated his sixth career title on the ITF World Tennis Tour.
The tournament had to deal with torrential rain at the beginning of the week but managed to finish the tournament on time.

M15 Sharm El Sheikh EGY – Petros Chrysochos captures his second title of the season
Petros Chrysochos is the champion of the M15 Sharm El Sheikh tournament hosted by Soho Square.
The 24-year-old Cypriot, who entered the tournament on position four, edged past Russian No. 5 seed Bogdan Bobrov in the stage of the final four in straight sets.
The Ukrainian No. 2 seed Vladyslav Orlov advanced to the final with a three-set win against Erik Crepaldi from Italy.
Larnaca-born Chrysochos converted four of his break-point chances in the title match by dropping one service game to claim a 6-3, 6-2 victory in 82 minutes. The former college player for the Wake Forest University in North Carolina has lifted his eighth singles trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour, his second in 2020.
