Germany’s National Tennis Championships In Biberach: Finals Are Set

The title matches of the 49th edition of the German National Tennis Championships are set. The tournament is held on hard court at the WTB Indoor Tennis Centre in Biberach an der Riß.

With Noma Noha Akugue and Nastasja Schunk two teenagers will compete in Sunday’s women’s singles final. Seventeen-year-old Noha Akugue, one of Germany’s biggest tennis talents and representing Hamburg’s Club an der Alster, knocked off Alexandra Vecic 6-1, 6-4 in the stage of the final four. In other action on Saturday, 17-year-old Schunk of BASF TC Ludwigshafen fought past Selina Dal 6-2, 4-6, 6-1.

Elmar Ejupovic and Benjamin Hassan will face off in the men’s singles final. Ejupovic, representing TC Bad Homburg upset defending champion Daniel Masur 7-6(6), 6-3 in the semi-final. Hassan of TK Kurhaus Aachen beat 20-year-old Henri Squire 6-3, 6-4.
