M15 Torello ESP – Arthur Cazaux captures his maiden title on the Pro Circuit

The 18th Tournament Joan Mir “In Memoriam” held at Club Tennis Torello concluded with the title win of Frenchman Arthur Cazaux.

The World No. 5 in the ITF Juniors ranking, who finished runner-up at this year’s Australian Open Junior Championships, took the last step to the final by defeating Mattia Bellucci from Italy in two sets.

No. 5 seeded Quentin Robert booked the spot in the all-French final with a three-set victory against Lamine Ouahab from Morocco.

Montpellier-born Cazaux outpointed his rival in the title match 112-103 to secure a 4-6, 7-6, 6-2 win after two hours and 51 minutes. The 18-year-old won his first title on the ITF World Tennis Tour.

M15 Santo Domingo DOM – Nick Hardt triumphs on home soil 

Nick Hardt from the Dominican Republic was crowned champion of the M15 Santo Domingo tournament, hosted by the Centro Nacional de Tenis Parque del Este, lifting his third singles trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour.

The No. 6 seed knocked off the tournament’s top favourite Nick Chappell from the United States in the stage of the final four in straight sets.

Former junior’s World No. 9 Oliver Crawford emerged victorious from the all-US American semi-final encounter against No. 8 seeded Roy Smith in three sets.

Twenty-year-old Hardt capitalized on five of his seven break-point opportunities in the championship match to prevail 6-4, 6-0 in 57 minutes.

In addition to his singles title, the Santiago de los Caballeros native also clinched the doubles trophy alongside Shintaro Mochizuki from Japan, beating the US-American tandem Nick Chappell/Keegan Smith in the final 4-6, 7-6, 10-5.

M15 Cairo EGY – Juan Bautista Torres clinches his first trophy

Juan Bautista Torres dominated the Egypt Men’s Future, held at Al-Solaimaneyah Center in Cairo, winning the title without losing a set the entire week.

The Argentinian teenager defeated Erik Crepaldi from Italy in the stage of the last four in two sets.

Seventeen-year-old Toby Kodat from the United States, who was ranked No. 5 in the ITF Juniors Rankings at the beginning of the season, beat the Argentinian wildcard entry Alejo Lorenzo Lingua Lavallen in the semi-finals in three sets.

In the title match between two junior entries, Bautista Torres converted four of his 10 break-point chances and dropped only one service game to seal a 6-3, 6-3 win after one hour and 46 minutes. The 18-year-old celebrated his debut title on the ITF World Tennis Tour.

M15 Monastir TUN – Kristjan Tamm wins second Monastir title

Following his maiden title win at the same place last year, Kristjan Tamm clinched another trophy of the Magic Hotel Tours tournament, hosted by the Hotel Skanes Family in Monastir, to celebrate his second career title on the ITF World Tennis Tour. 

The 22-year-old Estonian battled through the top half of the draw, beating Argentinian No. 7 seed Matias Franco Descotte in the semi-finals in two sets.

No. 2 seeded Artem Dubrivnyy from Russia advanced to the final with a straight-set win versus Polish Michal Dembek.

Unseeded Tamm outpointed his 21-year-old rival in the championship match 93-89 to claim a 4-6, 6-3, 6-3 victory after two hours and nine minutes.

In the doubles competition, Alexander Erler and David Pichler edged past German Mats Rosenkranz and Skander Mansouri from Tunisia in the championship match with 6-2, 7-6. The Austrian duo celebrated their fourth team title in 2020.
