Rafael Nadal headlines the field at the Mutua Madrid Open, where he will pursue his sixth title. The Spanish superstar is fresh off a victory at the Barcelona Open Banc Sabadell, and he will attempt to maintain his momentum at the Caja Magica.
A tough field will try to stop Nadal, led by Monte-Carlo champion Stefanos Tsitsipas, World No. 3 Daniil Medvedev and two-time Madrid finalist Dominic Thiem.
There are plenty of other players to watch, including in-form Russian Andrey Rublev and 2018 champion Alexander Zverev. #NextGenATP stars Felix Auger-Aliassime and Jannik Sinner will also be in action.
In the doubles draw, Nikola Mektic and Mate Pavic will try to claim their sixth title of the season. The Croatians have won the first two ATP Masters 1000 events of 2021 and they will try for a third in Spain. Juan Sebastian Cabal and Robert Farah are the top seeds, and the Colombians will try to lift their third trophy of the year.
