M25 Santo Domingo DOM – Aidan HcHugh victorious in the Caribbean 

The M25 Santo Domingo tournament, hosted by the Centro Nacional de Tenis Parque del Este, concluded with the championship of Aidan HcHugh.

The 20-year-old Scot, representing Great Britain, booked the spot in the final with a three-set victory against Roy Smith from the United States. 

Former World No. 78 Nicolas Kicker from Argentina knocked off No. 6 seeded local hero Nick Hardt in the semi-finals in straight sets. 

The No. 8 seed won four points less in the championship match but secured a 7-5, 3-6, 6-3 win after three hours and 29 minutes. The Glasgow native, who was ranked World No. 8 as a junior, celebrated his fourth singles trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour, all of them won on hard court. 

M15 Sarajevo BIH – Hernan Casanova triumphs again on clay 

Clay-court specialist Hernan Casanova sealed the title win of the Sarajevo Open 2021, held at the GTA Tennis Academy. 

The 27-year-old Argentinian battled past Brazilian No. 8 seed Joao Lucas Reis da Silva in the stage of the final four in three sets. 

No. 6 seed Matheus Pucinelli de Almeida from Brazil made the last step to the final by defeating Gergely Madarasz from Hungary in straight sets.

No. 2 seeded Casanova broke his opponent five times in the title match without facing a break-point to claim a 6-2, 6-0 victory in 61 minutes. The Buenos Aires native, who won at least two tournaments per season between 2015 and 2019, lifted his 18th clay-court trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour.

M15 Helsinki FIN – Kyrian Jacquet captures maiden title 

Kyrian Jacauet is the champion of the Tali Future, hosted by Talin Tenniskeskus in Helsinki.

The French No. 2 seed eased past Karl Friberg from Sweden in the stage of the last four in two sets.

Junior entry Lilian Marmousez set the all-French final with a straight-set win against the tournament’s top favourite Lucas Catarina from Monaco.

Lyon-born Jacquet broke his 19-year-old opponent for six times and lost two service games in the championship match to prevail 6-1, 6-2 in 69 minutes. The 20-year-old celebrated his first singles trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour.

M15 Novomoskovsk UKR – Matias Zukas wins another trophy on clay 

The Lake Park Open 2, held at the venue of Lake Park, concluded with the title win of clay-court specialist Matias Zukas. 

The 25-year-old Argentinian edged out Ukrainian wild card entry Illya Beloborodko in the stage of the final four in straight sets.

The No. 3 seed Danylo Kalenichenko from the Ukraine battled through the top half of the draw, beating Alex Marti Pujolras from Spain in the semi-finals in three sets.

No. 5 seeded Zukas made nine points more in the title match to secure a 6-4, 0-6, 6-4 win after two hours and 45 minutes. The Santa Fe native lifted his eighth career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour, all of them won on clay court.

M15 Shymkent KAZ – Edoardo Lavagno clinches back-to-back titles 

Following his championship at the same place last week, Edoardo Lavagno took another title at the Shymkent Open, hosted by the National Tennis Center.

The Italian qualifier advanced to the final with a straight-set victory versus wild card entry Beibit Zhukayev from Kazakhstan.

Yan Bondarevskiy emerged victorious from the all-Russian semifinal-clash against No 3 seed Ivan Gakhov in two sets.

Left-handed Lavagno outpointed his rival in the championship match 101-88 to succeed 5-7, 6-2, 6-3 after two hours and 16 minutes. The 21-year-old celebrated his second career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour.

M15 Heraklion GRE – Ben Patael triumphs in Crete

Ben Patael clinched the trophy of the M15 Heraklion tournament, held at Lyttos Beach Tennis Academy. 

The Israeli No. 5 seed rallied past Nicolas Alvarez Varona from Spain, who entered the tournament on position four, in the semi-finals in straight sets.

Italian qualifier Federico Arnaboldi continued his surprising run, defeating Yuki Mochizuki from Japan in the stage of the last four in two clear sets. 

In the title match, 24-year-old Patael converted seven of his 10 break-point chances by dropping three service games to seal a 6-1, 6-4 victory in 89 minutes. The Tel Aviv native lifted his fifth career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour.

M15 Antalya TUR – Nicolas Moreno de Alboran earns maiden title 

Spanish native Nicolas Moreno de Alboran took the title of the M15 Antalya tournament, hosted by Club Megasaray in Belek. 

The 23-year-old US-American benefited in the semi-finals from the retirement of Swiss No. 2 seed Sandro Ehrat in the third set.

No. 4 seeded Italian Giovanni Fonio took the last step to the final by beating Chilean No. 5 seed Gonzalo Lama in straight sets.

New York City-born Moreno de Alboran won 74 per cent of his first-service points in the championship match to advance 7-5, 6-4 after two hours and nine minutes. The No. 6 seed celebrated his first singles title on the Pro Circuit.

M15 Monastir TUN – Yanki Erki captures third title of the season

Left-handed Yanki Erel emerged victorious at the Magic Hotel Tours tournament, hosted by the Hotel Skanes Family in Monastir. 

The Turkish No. 4 seed stopped the run of qualifier Ajeet Rai from New Zealand in the stage of the final four in straight sets.

The tournament’s top top seed Santiago Fa Rodriguez Taverna won the all-Argentine semifinal-battle against No. 8 seeded Alejo Lorenzo Lingua Lavallen in three sets.

Twenty-year-old Erki capitalized on five of his nine break-point opportunities in the title match and lost three service games to claim a 4-6, 6-1, 6-2 win after two hours and 12 minutes. The Tekirdag native lifted his third career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour, all of them won this season.
