STARNBERG, July 13, 2021
Roger Federer has withdrawn from the Tokyo Olympic Games citing a setback with his knee during the grass-court season. The 20-time Grand-Slam champion underwent two knee surgeries in 2020, keeping him out of action for more than a year.
The 39-year-old from Switzerland made the announcement on Tuesday afternoon via his social media channels and said that he plans to return to the ATP Tour later in the year following rehabilitation work.
