M25 Eupen BEL – Facundo Diaz Acosta remains solid on clay

The Tchamba Open by PNB Paribas Fortis, held at KTC Eupen, concluded with the title win of Facundo Diaz Acosta from Argentina.

The 20-year-old lefty battled past Maxime Pauwels from Belgium in the semi-finals in straight sets. 

Italian No. 3 seed Matteo Arnaldi took the last step to the final by beating British qualifier Arthur Fery in three sets. 

Buenos Aires-born Diaz Acosta broke his opponent of the same age three times and lost one service game in the title match to prevail 7-6, 6-2 in about two hours. The No. 2 seed, who was ranked World No. 6 as a junior, lifted his third singles trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour, all of them on clay court.

M25 Sintra POR – Paul Jubb captures third title of the season 

Paul Jubb from Great Britain is the champion of the M25 Sintra I tournament, hosted by the Beloura Tennis Academy.

The 21-year-old finished the run of Portuguese qualifier Luis Faria in the stage of the final four in straight sets. 

No. 8 seed Santiago Fa Rodriguez Taverna from Argentina edged out Portuguese wild card entry Duarte Vale, the former college player for the University of Florida, in the semi-finals in three sets. 

Unseeded Jubb outpointed his 22-year-old opponent in the championship match 77-65 to seal a 7-5, 6-4 win after one hour and 49 minutes. The York native, who played college tennis for the University of South Carolina and clinched the title of the NCAA Division Tennis Championships 2019, celebrated his fifth career title on the ITF World Tennis Tour and his third in 2021.

M15 Ibague COL – Gustavo Heide clinches maiden title

Gustavo Heide took the title of the Ibague Destino Deporte, hosted by Campestre de Ibague, to lift his first trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour 

The Brazilian No. 8 seed cruised past No. 4 seeded Colombian Juan Sebastian Gomez, who won the title of the Youth Olympic Games 2010 was ranked World No. 1 as a junior, in the semi-finals in two sets.

The tournament’s second favourite Alejandro Gomez from Colombia advanced to the final with a straight-set win versus Mexican No. 5 seed Juan Alejandro Hernandez Serrano.

Nineteen-year-old Heide sent down 13 aces in the title match and won 82 per cent of his first-service points to succeed 7-6, 7-5 after one hour and 44 minutes.

M15 Ulcinj MNE – Bastian Malla wins another title on clay 

The M15 Karisma Adriatic Montenegro ITF World Tour, held at Tennis Club Bellevue, concluded with the title win of clay-court specialist Bastian Malla. 

The 24-year-old Chilean made the last step to the final by defeating Oleksandr Ovcharenko from the Ukraine in three sets.

Argentinian No. 8 seed Mariano Navone eased past No. 7 seeded Italian Edoardo Lavagno in the semi-finals in three sets.

Left-handed Malla converted five of his 10 break-point chances in the championship match and dropped only one service game to triumph 6-2, 6-2 in 95 minutes. The No. 2 seed lifted his 11th singles trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour, all of them won on clay.

M15 Cairo EGY – Santiago de la Fuente earns maiden trophy

Santiago de la Fuente emerged victorious at the Egypt Men’s Future, hosted by Al-Solaimaneyah Tennis Club in Cairo, to celebrate his maiden title on the ITF World Tennis Tour. 

The Argentinian wildcard entry eased past Italian junior entry Biagio Gramaticopolo in the semi-finals in two sets.

Last week’s Cairo-champion Alessandro Ragazzi from Italy booked another spot in the final with a straight-set victory against French No. 6 seed Maxime Mora. 

Nineteen-year-old de la Fuente, who won a Grade A-event in Mexico at the age of 16, benefited in the title match from the retirement of his rival at the score of 3-6, 6-2, 2-0 after one hour and 36 minutes. 

M15 Monastir TUN – Jeremy Beale returns to winners’ circle 

Left-handed Jeremy Beale captured the trophy of the Magic Hotel Tours tournament, held at Hotel Skanes Family in Monastir.

The 26-year-old won the all-Australian semifinal-encounter versus No. 3 seed Dane Sweeny in straight sets.

Gage Brymer, the US-American No. 2 seed, stopped the run of Danish qualifier Christian Sigsgaard in the stage of the last four in two sets. 

Unseeded Beale fired 12 aces and won 90 per cent of his first-service points in the championship match to claim a 6-4, 6-4 win in 80 minutes. The Preston native lifted his second career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour following his maiden title in Indonesia 2018.
