M15 Recife BRA – Gustavo Heide dominates on home soil
Gustavo Heide took the trophy of the Ano II Brasil Tennis Classic hosted by the Recife Tenis Clube without dropping a set the entire week.
In the all-Brazilian semi-finals, the No. 7 seed edged out his compatriot Eduardo Ribeiro in straight sets.
No. 5 seed Jose Pereira made the last step to the final by defeating No. 8 seeded teenager Pedro Boscardin Dias in two sets.
Nineteen-year-old Heide sent down six aces and won 85 per cent of his first-service points in the title match to secure a 6-4, 6-2 victory after one hour and 29 minutes. Following his maiden title win in Colombia two weeks ago, the Ribeirao Preto-born celebrated his second singles triumph on the ITF World Tennis Tour.
In the all-Brazilian doubles-final, the teenager clinched the title alongside Pedro Boscardin Dias, beating the No. 2 seeded duo Daniel Dutra da Silva and Marcelo Zormann with 7-6, 3-6, 10-8.
“To win something in my country is very special for me because of the support of the home crowd. It was a very positive week for me competing so well in the singles and the doubles competition. Normally I like faster conditions but I managed to handle the slower courts,” said Heide.

M25 Jonkoping SWE – Otto Virtanen prevails in Scandinavia
Twenty-year-old Otto Virtanen from Finland was victorious at the Jönköping WTT, held at Jönköpings TC Racketcentrum.
The former junior’s World No. 6 knocked off the tournament’s top favourite Evgeny Karlovskiy from Russia in the semi-finals in two sets.
Norwegian No. 3 seed Viktor Durasovic set the all-Scandinavian final with a straight-set victory against Japanese No. 7 seed Shintaro Imai.
Hyvinkää-born Virtanen fired eight aces in the championship match and broke his rival five times to succeed 6-4, 6-0 in 59 minutes. The No. 6 seed, who clinched the Under-18 title of the Metropolia Orange Bowl International Tennis Championships 2018, lifted his third career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour.

M25 Pardubice CZE – In-form Filip Misolic captures fifth title of the season
Filip Misolic captured the trophy of the Moneta Pardubice Open 2021, hosted by LTC Pardubice.
The 20-year-old Austrian advanced to the final with a straight-set win versus Ukrainian No. 5 seed Eric Vanshelboim.
Henri Squire from Germany, who played college tennis for the Wake Forest University, cruised past Italian No. 8 seed Alexander Weis in the semi-finals in two sets.
No. 3 seeded Misolic won 82 per cent of his first-servie points and gained three breaks in the title match to seal a 7-5, 6-3 victory. The Graz native, who lives in Zagreb, celebrated his fifth career title on the ITF World Tennis Tour, all of them won on clay in 2021.
M15 Fayetteville USA – Teenager Juncheng Shang earns maiden title
The Legacy Bank NWA Tennis Series, held at Billingsley Tennis Center in Fayetteville/Arizona, concluded with the title win of 16-year-old Juncheng Shang from China.
The current junior’s World No. 1, who practices at the IMG Academy in Florida, made the last step to the final by defeating Gabi Adrian Boitan from Romania in straight sets.
No. 7 seeded Mark Whitehouse emerged victorious from the all-British semifinal-clash versus qualifier Henry Patten in three sets.
Left-handed Shang broke his 28-year-old rival five times without dropping a service-game in the championship match to succeed 6-3, 6-0 in 64 minutes. The Beijing native lifted his first trophy on the Pro Circuit.

M15 Ulcinj MNE – Rrezart Cungu triumphs on home soil
Local hero Rrezart Cungu capped his dream week by clinching the title of the M15 Karisma Adriatic Montenegro ITF World Tour. The tournament was hosted by the Tennis Club Bellevue in Ulcinj.
The Montenegrin qualifier battled through the top half of the draw, beating Franco Emanuel Egea from Argentina in the semi-finals in two sets.
Italian junior entry Samuel Vincent Ruggeri booked his spot in the final with a straight-set victory against Argentinian No. 5 seed Mariano Navone.
Ulcinj-born Cungu converted five of his nine break-point chances in the title match and lost three service games to secure a 6-3, 2-6, 6-1 win after about two hours. The 23-year-old celebrated his maiden title on the ITF World Tennis Tour.
M15 Cancun MEX – Jaimee Floyd Angele with debut title on the Pro Circuit
Jaimee Floyd Angele is the champion of the World Tennis Tour Cancun 2021, held at Cancun Tennis Complex.
The French No. 7 seed ended the run of Argentinian qualifier Federico Agustin Gomez in the stage of the final four in two sets.
Gerardo Lopez Villasenor, the Mexican No. 2 seed, edged out Irish lucky loser Osgar O’Hoisin in the semi-finals in straight sets.
Twenty-one-year-old Angele struck nine aces in the championship match and won 95 per cent of his first-service points to triumph 6-1, 6-1 in 69 minutes. The Clichy native lifted his first singles trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour

M15 Pirot SRB – Luka Pavlovic clinches maiden trophy
Luka Pavlovic captured the title of the TA Todorovic Open 2021, hosted by TA Torodovic, to celebrate his first singles trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour.
The 21-year-old Frenchman benefited in the semi-finals from the retirement of top seed Aldin Setkic from Bosnia and Herzegovina at the score of 6-2, 3-0.
No. 5 seed Cezar Cretu from Romania edged past Russian No. 4 seed Andrey Chepelev in the semi-finals in three sets.
Unseeded Pavlovic sent down nine aces and gained six breaks in the title match to claim a 6-2, 6-2 victory in 67 minutes.

M15 Monastir TUN – Li Tu captures third title in Monastir
Following his title win at the same place last week, Li Tu clinched another trophy at the Magic Hotel Tours tournament, held at Hotel Skanes Family in Monastir.
The Australian qualifier took the last step to the final by defeating German No. 5 seed Christoph Negritu in straight sets.
Japanese No. 2 seed Ryota Tanuma stopped the run of Italian qualifier Omar Brigida in the semi-finals in two sets.
Adelaide resident Tu fired 14 aces in the championship match and broke his opponent four times to prevail 3-6, 6-1, 6-2 after two hours and 11 minutes. The 25-year-old, who won 34 of the 36 matches he contested at the UTR Pro Tennis Series Australia in 2020 and early 2021 to be awarded a main draw wild card into this year’s Australian Open, lifted his third career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour, all of them achieved in Monastir this season.

Simone Roncalli emerged victorious at the Egypt Men’s Future, hosted by Al-Solaimaneyah Tennis Club in Cairo.

M15 Vyshkovo UKR – Gergely Madarasz clinches second title of the season
Gergely Madarasz took the title of the Roger Cup, held at the venue of the TC Roger in Vyshkovo.
The 26-year-old Hungarian battled past Ukrainian No. 2 seed Georgii Kravchenko in the stage of the last four in three sets.
The tournament’s top favourite Ivan Nedelko from Russia, who has already captured 27 titles on the Pro Circuit, rallied past Italian Tommaso Compagnucci in the semi-finals in three sets.
Baja-born Madarasz won three points less in the championship match but secured a 7-6, 3-6, 6-4 win after two hours and 20 minutes. The No. 4 seed, who took a break from professional Tennis due to study between 2014 and 2018 for almost four years, lifted his third career trophy on the ITF World Tennis and his second in 2021.
