The organizers of the Swiss Open Gstaad announced a new parntership with Swiss private bank J. Safra Sarasin as the tournament’s new title sponsor in 2016. The event will be held from 16 to 27 July.

The company was founded in 1841 and is headquartered in Basel. Tournament director Jeff Collet is proud to have such a well-known and experienced new partner. “This co-operation is a step into the right derection in order to develop the tournament,” he said on Tuesday.

The first players for this year’s edition of the J. Safra Sarasin Swiss Open have also been announced. World number 15 Gilles Simon as well as former finalists Feliciano López and Juan Mónaco will return to the Bernese Oberland.
