M25 Portimao POR – Sebastian Fanselow wins another title in Portugal 

Sebastian Fanselow from Germany took the trophy of the Portimao Futures $25.000, held at Clube de Tenis e Padel de Portimao. 

The former college player for the Pepperdyne University booked the spot in the final with a three-set win against Maximilian Neuchrist from Austria.

British No. 5 seed Paul Jubb fought past Laurent Lokoli from France in the stage of the final four in three sets.

No. 8 seeded Fanselow broke his rival in the championship match five times to prevail 6-1, 6-7, 6-4 after two hours and 38 minutes. The 29-year-old from Saarlouis lifted his 11th career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour, winning his last three titles on Portuguese soil.

M25 Sarreguemines FRA – Dan Added succeeds on home soil 

Dan Added captured the title of the Internationaux de Sarreguemines, hosted by Association Sportive Sarreguemines Tennis. 

The 22-year-old cruised past his fellow French Hugo Voljaques, who entered the tournament in the qualifying competition, in the semi-finals in straight sets. 

Gauthier Onclin from Belgium battled through the top half of the draw, beating Frenchman Jurgen Briand in the stage of the last four in three sets. 

No. 8 seeded Added struck six aces in the title match and won 77 per cent of his first-service points to secure victory with 6-3, 6-4 in 79 minutes. The Strasbourg native celebrated his sixth career title on the ITF World Tennis Tour and his third this season.

M25 Calabasas USA – Rinky Hijikata triumphs in California

The USTA Pro Men’s Pro Tennis Championships of Calabasas, held at Calabasas Tennis & Swim Center, concluded with the title win of Rinky Hijikata.

The Australian top seed advanced to the final with a straight-set victory against Nathan Ponwith from the United States.

Tristan Boyer, who was ranked ITF No. 8 as a junior, won the all-US-American semifinal-encounter versus No. 4 seed Govind Nanda in three sets. 

Sydney-born Hijikata capitalized on four of his 11 break-point opportunities in the championship match and won six points more to claim a 3-6, 7-5, 6-2 comeback-win after two hours and 41 minutes. The former junior’s World No. 9 lifted his his fourth trophy of the season and his fifth overall on the ITF World Tennis Tour.

M25 Nur-Sultan KAZ – Alibek Kachmazov captures second title of 2021

Alibek Kachmazov won the title of the Nur-Sultan ITF International Tournament, hosted by Daulet Tennis Center. 

The 19-year-old from North-Ossetia edged out his fellow Russian Yan Sabanin in the semi-finals in three sets.

Bogdan Bobrov, the No. 6 seed, booked the spot in the all-Russian final with a straight-set win versus Canadian No. 4 seed Filip Peliwo.

Lasting three hours and 14 minutes, unseeded Kachmazov won 10 points more in the title match to succeed 6-2, 4-6- 6-4. The Vladikavkaz native celebrated his second career title on the ITF World Tennis Tour and his second on home soil in 2021.

M25 Guayaquil ECU – Facundo Juarez dominates in Ecuador

Facundo Juarez clinched the trophy of the M25 Guayaquil tournament, held at Club Nacional de Guayaquil, without losing a set the entire week.

The No. 3 seed emerged victorious from the all-Argentinian semifinal-battle versus No. 5 seed Juan Bautista Torres in straight sets. 

Brazilian No. 4 seed Daniel Dutra da Silva benefited in the stage of the final four from the retirement of top seeded US-American Oliver Crawford in the third set.

Twenty-four-year-old Juarez broke his rival in the championship match three times and dropped two service games to seal victory with 7-6, 6-3 after about two hours. Following his maiden title win in Antalya earlier this season, the Mendoza native lifted his second career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour.

M15 Selva Gardena ITA – Leandro Riedi wins debut title on the Pro Circuit 

Leandro Riedi was victorious at the ITF Men Val Gardena Südtirol Raiffeisen, hosted by the venue of TC Gherdeina. 

The 19-year-old Swiss took the last step to the final by beating German No. 5 seed Tim Handel, who played college tennis for the Northern Arizona University, in three sets. 

Wildcard entry Samuel Vincent Ruggeri won the all-Italian semifinal-clash against No. 6 seed Mattia Bellucci in straight sets.

In the title match, Frauenfeld-born Riedi withstood 20 aces from his rival of the same age to triumph 7-6, 3-6, 6-3 after two hours and 15 minutes. The former junior’s World No. 6, who finished runner-up to his fellow Swiss Dominic Stricker at the Roland Garros Junior Championships 2020, celebrated his first singles title on the ITF World Tennis Tour.

M15 Madrid ESP – Teenager Daniel Merida Aguilar earns maiden trophy on home soil

Local hero Daniel Merida Aguilar won the title of the LVI Copa Alameda, held at Club Almeda in Madrid.

The 17-year-old Spaniard finished the run of French qualifier Lucas Bouquet in the semi-finals in straight sets. 

Diego Augusto Barreto Sanchez set the all-Spanish final with a three-set victory versus junior entry Coleman Wong from Hong Kong.

Unseeded Merida Aguilar outpointed his rival in the championship match 77-63 to secure a 6-4, 6-3 win after one hour and 50 minutes. The Madrid native lifted his first trophy on the Pro Circuit.

M15 Tallahassee USA – Vasil Kirkov succeeds in Florida

Vasil Kirkov took the title of the Tallahassee Open – presented by Visit Tallahassee, hosted by Florida State University Indoor Tennis Facility.

The US-American No. 3 seed fought past Henry Patten from Great-Britain in the semi-finals in three sets.

Danish qualifier Johannes Ingildsen continued his great run, beating Ryan Shane from the United States in the stage of the last four in three sets. 

Twenty-two-year-old Kirkov sent down nine aces in the title match and broke his opponent for five times to advance 4-6, 6-1, 6-2 after almost two hours. The Florida resident celebrated his second carer title on the ITF World Tennis Tour.

M15 Parnu EST – Remy Bertola captures maiden title 

The PAF Open 2021, held at Parnu Tennis Centre, were finished by the championship of Remy Bertola from Switzerland.

In the semi-finals with the top four favourites in action, No. 2 seeded Bertola eased past Estonian No. 4 seed Vladimir Ivanov in three sets.

The tournament’s top seed Patrik Niklas-Salminen from Finland made the last step to the final by defeating Romanian No. 3 seed Stefan Palosi in straight sets.

Lugano-born Bertola gained three breaks more in the championship match to seal a 6-4, 6-3 win in 76 minutes. The 23-year-old lifted his first singles trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour.

M15 Sharm El Sheikh EGY – Nam Hoang Ly returns to winners’ circle 

Nam Hoang Ly is the champion of the M15 Sharm El Sheikh tournament, hosted by Soho Square.

The 24-year-old from Vietnam edged past Canadian No. 7 seed Kelsey Stevenson in the stage of the final four in straight sets.

Last week’s Sharm El Sheikh-champion Hady Habib from Lebanon, who entered the tournament on position four, benefited in the semi-finals from the retirement of top seeded Egyptian Karim-Mohamed Maamoun after winning the first four games.

Unseeded Ly converted four of his five break-point chances in the title match and lost one service game to succeed 6-2, 6-4 in 68 minutes. The Ho Chi Minh native, who was sidelined from professional tennis for 18 months since the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic, celebrated his third singles title on the ITF World Tennis Tour and his first since 2017.

M15 Antalya TUR – Billy Harris prevails in British affair 

Left-handed Billy Harris clinched the trophy of the Antalya Series, hosted by the Club Megasaray in Belek.

The No. 8 seed from Great-Britain stopped the run of Romanian qualifier Calin Manda in the semi-finals in two sets.

Felix Gill set the all-British final with a straight-set victory against Argentinian No. 5 seed Juan Pablo Paz.

Twenty-six-year-old Harris won one point more in the championship match with both players gaining five breaks to claim a 6-3, 1-6, 7-5 win after two hours and 42 minutes. The Nottingham native, who lives on the Isle of Man, lifted his second career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour.

M15 Monastir TUN – Skander Mansouri triumphs on home soil

Skander Mansouri emerged victorious at the Magic Hotel Tours tournament, held at Hotel Skanes Family in Monastir.

The Tunisian top seed advanced to the final with a straight-set win versus French No. 3 seed Quentin Folliot. 

Last week’s Monastir-champion Moerani Bouzige from Australia booked another spot in the final by beating the current No. 7 in the ITF Junior’s ranking Sascha Gueymard Wayenburg from France in two sets.

Tunis-born Mansouri von 86 per cent of his first-service points in the title match and capitalized on four of his five break-point chances to prevail 6-2, 6-4 in 68 minutes. The 26-year-old celebrated his ninth singles title on the ITF World Tennis Tour, all of them won on hard court.
