STARNBERG, February 14, 2022

There will be four ATP Tour events this week on four different continents with plenty of hardware at stake.

Matteo Berrettini of Italy leads the way at the Rio Open presented by Claro, an ATP 500 clay-court tournament hosted by the Jockey Club Brasileiro, where two-time Argentina Open winner Casper Ruud from Norway is the second seed. Reigning Intesa Sanpaolo Next Gen ATP Finals champion Carlos Alcaraz of Spain will also be in action.

Briton Cameron Norrie is the top seed at the Delray Beach Open by VITACOST.com. The ATP 250 event features today’s stars from the ATP Tour and fans’ favourite legends from the ATP Champions Tour.

The tournament opened the 2021 men’s tennis season, but moves back to its traditional dates this year. Freshly crowned Dallas Open champion Reilly Opelka from the United States is seeded second.

Denis Shapovalov from Canada headlines the field at the Qatar ExxonMobil Open in Doha, one of two ATP Tour events held in the Middle East. It has been selected by players as the ATP 250 Tournament of the Year on four occasions (2015, ’17, ’19, ’21).

Spaniard Roberto Bautista Agut leads the bottom half of the draw. Former World No. 1 Andy Murray of Great Britain received a wild card.

Stefanos Tsitsipas of Greece and in-form Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime, who lifted his maiden trophy on the ATP Tour in Rotterdam on Sunday, will be in action at the Open 13 Provence in Marseille.

The ATP 250 indoor event is one of five French tournaments on the ATP Tour calendar. Russia’s Andrey Rublev is the second favourite on the Mediterranean coast.
