Jack Sock captured the title of the 2022 Savannah Challenger Presented by St. Joseph’s Candler. The No. 4 seed of the $53,120 ATP Challenger clay-court tournament, hosted by the Franklin Creek Tennis Center, defeated fellow US-American and 2018 runner-up Christian Harrison 6-4, 6-1 in Sunday’s singles final.
Sock sailed through the first set with ease, beating Harrison 6-4. Harrison couldn’t get things going in the second set, leaving the World No. 139 from Nevada to secure victory in one hour and 20 minutes. Sock won 81 per cent of his first-service points and broke his rival six times.
Sock, a winner of four ATP Tour titles, lifted his fourth ATP Challenger career trophy and his first of the season. The 29-year-old earned $7,200 in prize money as well as 80 ATP Ranking points.
