M25 Kalmar SWE – Louis Wessels succeeds on clay again
Louis Wessels from Germany won the title of the Kalmar M25, held at the venue of Kalmar Tennisklubb.
The tournament’s top favourite edged out Elmer Moller from Denmark in the stage of the final four in three sets.
Italian No. 6 seed Daniele Capecchi beat Leo Borg, the son of tennis legend Bjorn Borg, in the semi-finals in straight sets.
Bielefeld-born Wessels broke his 26-year-old rival in the title match six times and lost three service games to prevail 6-2, 6-3 after 88 minutes. The 23-year-old celebrated his seventh singles title on the ITF World Tennis Tour, all of them achieved on clay court.
“It was a great week for me,” Wessels told Tennis TourTalk. “The tournament had almost ended for me in the first match when I twisted my ankle after winning the first set. But I could continue with my swollen foot and get the victory in the tie-break of the deciding set. With the confidence of this win, I battled through a lot of close matches to reach the final. In the championship match, I played by far my best match during the tournament, so I am very happy to win the title after losing three consecutive finals following my triumph in Marburg last season.”
Asked about his scheduled tournaments in the upcoming weeks, he said: “Next up will be the Saturn Oil Open in Troisdorf followed by more ATP Challenger tournaments. This will be the next step in my career.”

M25 Nottingham GBR – Billy Harris prevails on home soil
Local hero Billy Harris earned the trophy of the M25 Nottingham tournament, hosted by Nottingham Tennis Centre.
The No. 7 seeded Briton knocked off Swiss No. 5 seed Leandro Riedi in the semi-finals in two close sets.
Israeli Edan Leshem made the last step to the final by defeating Charles Broom from Great Britain in straight sets.
Twenty-seven-year-old Harris sent down six aces in the championship match and gained two breaks more to triumph 6-4, 6-3 in 87 minutes. The Nottingham native lifted his fifth career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour.

M25 Prague CZE – Martin Krumich clinches maiden trophy
The Genova Prague Open 2022, held at TK Spoje Praha, concluded with the title win of Martin Krumich.
The 19-year-old Czech battled through the bottom half of the draw, beating Lukas Neumayer from Austria in the semi-finals in three sets.
Frenchman Jurgen Briand edged out local hero Andrew Paulson in the stage of the last four in straight sets.
Unseeded Krumich capitalized on five of his seven break-point opportunities in the title match and dropped three service-games to seal a 7-6, 6-0 victory after one hour and 44 minutes. The Kolin native celebrated his first singles title on the Pro Circuit.

Michael Geerts won the title of the Fortevillage ITF Trophy, hosted by the venue of ASD Fortevillage

M25 Monastir TUN – Li Tu captures third title of the season
Li Tu clinched the trophy of the Magic Hotel Tours tournament, held at Hotel Skanes Family in Monastir.
The 25-year-old Australian cruised past US-American No. 6 seed Christian Langmo in the semi-finals in straight sets.
No. 2 seed Skander Mansouri emerged victorious from the all-Tunisian semifinal-battle against No. 5 seeded Aziz Dougaz in three sets.
Lasting two hours and 50 minutes, No. 3 seeded Tu withstood 13 aces from his 26-year-old rival in the title match and earned one break more to claim a 6-7, 6-4, 7-6 win. The Adelaide resident who was awarded a main draw wildcard at Australian Open 2021, celebrated his seventh singles title on the ITF World Tennis Tour and his third in 2022.

Left-handed Gergely Madarasz is the champion of the Doboj Open 2022, hosted by the venue of Tennis Club Doboj, without dropping a set during the tournament.

Baja-born Madarasz outpointed his 21-year-old opponent in the championship match 77-58 to claim a 6-3, 7-5 win lasting one hour and 43 minutes. The top seed lifted his fifth career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour, all of them won on clay court.
M15 Valldoreix ESP – Daniel Merida Aguilar prevails in all-Spanish affair
Teenager Daniel Merida Aguilar was victorious at the XVI ITF World Tennis Tour Vila de Valldoreix, held at Club Esportiu Valldoreix.
In the all-Spanish semi-finals, the 17-year-old rallied past David Jorda Sanchis in three sets.
The tournament’s top favourite Oriol Roca Batalla took the last step to the final by defeating former Juniors World No. 2 Daniel Rincon, who captured the title of the US Open Junior Championships last season, in straight sets.
Unseeded Merida Aguilar gained one break and seven points more in the title match to triumph 2-6, 7-5, 6-2 after two hours and 20 minutes. The Madrid native celebrated his second singles title on the ITF World Tennis Tour after his maiden championship last season in his hometown.

M15 Monastir TUN – Bu Yunchaokete clinches another Monastir trophy
Following his maiden championship at the same place last month, Bu Yunchaokete captured another title of the Magic Hotel Tours tournament, hosted by Hotel Skanes Family in Monastir, to lift his second career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour.
The 20-year-old Chinese advanced to the final with a straight-sets win versus Spanish No. 2 seed Alberto Barroso Campos.
Ray Ho, the No. 7 seed from Chinese Taipei, edged out Mathieu Scaglia from France in the semi-finals in two sets.
No. 4 seed Yunchaokete sent down seven aces in the championship match and earned two breaks more to seal victory with 6-4, 7-5 after two hours and 17 minutes.

The Azul Beach Resort Montenegro Tour, hosted by Tennis Club Bellevue, concluded with the triumph of Valentin Royer.
The 20-year-old Frenchman battled through the bottom half of the draw, beating Taisei Ichikawa from Japan in the semi-finals in straight sets.
No. 3 seed Samuel Vincent Ruggeri from Italy fought past Serbian junior entry Branko Djuric in the stage of the last four in three sets.

Mark Lajal claimed the trophy of the M15 Heraklion tournament, hosted by Lyttos Beach Tennis Academy in Crete, to celebrate his first title on the ITF World Tennis Tour.

Sebastian Prechtel took the title of the Egypt Men’s Future, held at Al-Solaimaneyah Sporting Club in Alexandria.
The 26-year-old German made the last step to the final with a straight-sets win versus Argentinian No. 3 seed Valerio Aboian.

Dutch qualifier Deney Wassermann continued his great run in the stage of the final four, beating French No. 2 seed Mathys Erhard in three sets.
