M25 La Nucia ESP – Nick Hardt remains solid on clay 

Following four titles on clay last season, 21-year-old Nick Hardt clinched the trophy of the III Internacional David Ferrer 2022, held at Club de Tenis La Nucia.

The No. 3 seed from the Dominican Republic battled past Spanish No. 2 seed Oriol Roca Batalla in the semi-finals in two sets.

The tournament’s top favourite Laurent Lokoli from France advanced to the final with a straight-set win against Daniel Rincon, winner of the US Open Junior Championships last season. 

No. 3 seeded Hardt won 77 per cent of his first-service points and earned four breaks more in the title match to prevail 6-0, 6-4 in 88 minutes. The Santiago de Los Caballeros native lifted his eighth singles trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour.

M25 Kiseljak BIH – Joris de Loore captures second title of the season 

Joris de Loore triumphed at the Kiseljak Open 2022, hosted by the venue of Tennis Club Elliptic.

The former World No. 174 emerged victorious from the all-Belgian semifinal-battle against Raphael Collignon in three sets. 

No. 3 seed Hady Habib from Lebanon, who played college tennis for the Texas A&M University, made the last step to the final by beating Swiss No. 7 seed Jakub Paul in straight sets.

Bruges-born de Loore capitalized on five of his 16 break-point chances in the championship match and dropped three service-games to seal victory with 6-4, 5-7, 6-3. The 29-year-old celebrated his 10th career title on the ITF World Tennis Tour and his second in 2022.

M25 Harmon GUM – Seong Chan Hong prevails in the Pacific Ocean

Seong Chan Hong clinched the trophy of the Kings Guam World Tennis Tour, held at Guam National Tennis Center. 

The No. 5 seed eased past his No. 7 seeded fellow Korean Cheong-Eui Kim in the stage of the final four in two sets.

Rio Noguchi, the fourth seed, emerged victorious from the all-Japanese semi-final clash versus top seeded Tatsuma Ito in straight sets. 

Twenty-four-year-old Hong gained three breaks more in the championship match to succeed 6-3, 6-2 in 87 minutes. The Gangwonto native lifted his 13th career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour.

M25 Chiang Rai THA – Samrej Kasidit triumphs on home soil 

Local hero Samrej Kasidit took the title of the M25 Chiang Rai tournament, held at Chiang Rai Tennis Stadium, to celebrate his first singles title on the Pro Circuit.

The 21-year-old from Thailand defeated Australian No. 2 seed Dayne Kelly in the semi-finals in two sets.

No. 5 seeded veteran Konstantin Kravchuk advanced to the final with a straight-set win against the tournament’s top favourite Yu Hsiou Hsu from Chinese Taipei. 

Unseeded Kasidit fired 12 aces in the title match to claim a 6-3, 7-6 victory after one hour and 42 minutes.

M15 Budva MNE – Damien Wenger wins another title on clay 

Damien Wenger was victorious at the Budva 2022, hosted by the venue of the Tennis Club Budva Rivijera. 

The 22-year-old Swiss knocked off the tournament’s top seed Harold Mayot, who captured the title of the Australian Junior Championships 2020 and was ranked Juniors World No. 1, in the semi-finals in three sets.

Simon Anthony Ivanov from Bulgaria eased past No. 2 seed Khumoyun Sultanov in the stage of the last four in three sets.

Twenty-two-year-old Wenger earned two breaks and ten points more in the title match to prevail 6-4, 6-4 in about two hours. The Bienne native lifted his fourth singles trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour, all of them won on clay.

M15 Vaasa FIN – Karl Fridberg returns to winners’ circle

The Wasa Open, hosted by Vaasa Sportpark Vaskiluoto, concluded with the title win of Karl Fridberg.

The 23-year-old from Sweden edged out Estonian No. 7 seed Daniil Glinka in the semi-finals in two sets. 

The tournament’s top favourite Ivan Nedelko booked the spot in the final with a straight-set win versus Aleksi Lofman from Finland.

Orebro-born Fridberg outpointed his 36-year-old rival by the score of 90-72 to triumph 4-6, 6-3, 6-1 after two hours and 28 minutes. The No. 6 seed celebrated his second career trophy following his maiden title in Finland 2018 

M15 Quito ECU – Andres Andrade clinches maiden trophy 

Andres Andrade is the champion of the M15 Copa Quito Bicentenario – Etapa 2, hosted by Club Rancho San Francisco.

The Ecuadorian wildcard entry fought past Kiranpal Pannu from New Zealand in the stage of the final four in three sets.

Nicolas Buitrago from Colombia battled through the top half of the draw, beating Argentinian No. 7 seed Juan Bautista Otegui in straight sets.

Tweny-three-year-old Andrade gained one break and seven points more in the championship match to succeed 6-3, 7-6 after one hour and 38 minutes. The Guayaquil native lifted his first singles trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour.

M15 Tay Ninh VIE – Nam Hoang Ly victorious on home soil 

Nam Hoang Ly took the title of the Hai Dang Cup 2022, hosted by Hai Dang Tennis Club.

The 25-year-old from Vietnam edged out Japanese No. 4 seed Ryoto Tanuma in the stage of the final four in three sets.

Australian No. 3 seed Thomas Fancutt stopped the run of Korean qualifier Jea Moon Lee in the semi-finals in three sets.

Ho Chi Minh-born Ly won 88 per cent of his first-service points in the championship match and gained two breaks more to triumph 6-3, 6-4 after one hour and 23 minutes. The top seed celebrated his sixth singles title on the ITF World Tennis Tour.

M15 Heraklion GRE – Omar Jasika captures third title of the season

Left-handed Omar Jasika was crowned champion at the M15 Heraklion tournament, held at Lyttos Beach Tennis Academy in Crete. 

The 25-year-old Australian took the last step to the final by defeating Spanish No. 5 seed Adria Soriano Barrera in two sets.

Swiss No. 4 seed Jerome Kym edged out Aleksandre Bakshi from Georgia in the semi-finals in straight sets.

Melbourne-born Jasika, who was banned from professional tennis for two years from March 2018 after testing positive for cocaine, broke his 19-year-old rival in the title match five times to seal a 6-2, 6-2 victory in 85 minutes. The former junior’s World No. 6, who clinched the singles and doubles title at the 2014 US Open Junior Championships, lifted his sixth singles trophy on the Pro Circuit including his ATP Challenger title in Burnie 2017. The qualifier has won all of his trophies on hard court.

M15 Monastir TUN – Aziz Dougaz prevails on home soil 

No. 2 seed Aziz Dougaz emerged victorious at the Magic Hotel Tours tournament, hosted by Hotel Skanes Family in Monastir.

The left-handed Tunisian fought past Mexican No. 4 seed Alex Hernandez in the stage of the last four in three sets.

The tournament’s top seed Skander Mansouri set the all-Tunisian final with a three-set victory versus Frenchman Nicolas Tepmahc.

Twenty-five-year-old Dougaz sent down seven aces in the championship match and earned two breaks more than his rival to advance 6-4, 6-4 in 90 minutes. The La Marsa native celebrated his seventh career title on the ITF World Tennis Tour.

M15 Cancun MEX – Ekeziel Clark wins maiden trophy 

Ekeziel Clark clinched the title of the World Tennis Tour Cancun 2022, held at Cancun Tennis Complex.

The 23-year-old US-American finished the run of Chinese qualifier Haoyuan Huang in the semi-finals in two sets.

Mexican No. 2 seed Luis Patino made it to the final with a straight-set win against No. 5 seeded US-American Alexander Bernard.

Top seeded Clark converted all of his four break-point chances and lost one service game in the title match to get the win with the score of 6-3, 6-2 after 89 minutes. The Tulsa native lifted his first trophy on the Pro Circuit.
