Open D’Orleans To Be Held In September

Later this season, the ATP Challenger Tour will be back in Orleans, a city with about 120,000 inhabitants in north-central France, situated about 120 kilometres southwest of Paris. The 17th edition of the Open d’Orleans will be held from September 26 to October 2 at the Palais des Sports, an arena with a capacity of 3,000 people.

This was announced by the organizers of the ATP Challenger 125 hard-court tournament on Wednesday. As one of the most prestigious events on the circuit, tournament director Didier Gerard is expected to present an interesting line-up again. Eight players from the current Top 30 have already competed on the Center Court of the Open d’Orleans: No. 1 Daniil Medvedev (2016), No. 2 Alexander Zverev (2014), No. 8 Andrey Rublev (2016),  No. 13 Jannick Sinner (2019), No. 19 Roberto Bautista Agut (2010, 2011, 2012), No. 21 Grigor Dimitrov (2010), No. 27 Alex de Minaur (Qualifiers 2017) and No. 29 Holger Rune.

The 2022 entry list will be revealed on September 6. Open d’Orleans defending champion is Henri Laaksonen from Switzerland, who beat Austrian Dennis Novak 6-1, 2-6, 6-2 the last year’s singles final.
