RECIFE/STARNBERG, August 19, 2022
Six Brazilians have reached the quarterfinals of the Ano III – Brasil Tenis Classic, an ITF World Tennis Tour M15 clay-court event hosted by the Recife Tenis Clube.
World No. 548 Orlando Luz leads the line-up. The top seed defeated Tobias Franco of Argentina 6-4, 6-1 in one hour and 38 minutes on Thursday.
“I’m very happy with the victory. It was very humid, hot, difficult conditions today,” said Luz. “I didn’t know him either. But I knew how to focus at the right time and now it’s time to rest for the next match.”
He will next take on his compatriot and No. 6 seed Eduardo Ribeiro.
