Tommy Haas‘ comeback on the ATP World Tour will be postponed again, as the 38-year-old German had to undergo surgery on his right foot at the Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina on Wednesday. It was Haas’ ninth surgery during his career.
Later the day, he posted that everythig went fine.

However, a start during the European clay court swing is almost impossible. There is still a glimmer of hope that Haas can return to competition with the start of the grass court season.
“We still hope that Haas can play at the Mercedes Cup in Stuttgart,” told Alexander Stöhr of Haas’ management. The tournament takes place the week after Roland Garros.
Haas is currently ranked on 361st position and played his last match on the tour at the Erste Bank Open in Vienna in October 2015 when he lost to Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in the opening round.
