TIBURON/STARNBERG, October 6, 2022

Up-and-coming US-American Zachary Svajda, 19, proved to be stiff competition for his compatriot and third seed Michael Mmoh, eliminating him from the Tiburon Challenger in a hard-won match 6-3, 5-7, 7-6(4) in almost three hours of play.

The top two seeds Denis Kudla and Stefan Koslov from the United States as well as fifth favourite Enzo Couacaud of France will compete in the quarterfinals on Thursday, with several newcomers to the $53,120 hard-court event on the courts, including qualifiers Luke Saville of Australia and home favourite Alex Michelsen, who at 18 is one of the tournament’s youngest players.
