Kamil Majchrzak was crowned champion of the Busan Open, which has made it return to the ATP Challenger Tour for the first time since 2019. The 26-year-old Polish, No. 6 seed of the $159,360 hard-court event, edged past Radu Albot of Moldova 6-4, 3-6, 6-2 in Sunday’s singles final.
Majchrzak battled his way to the title match through the top half of the draw with wins over Maximilian Marterer of Germany, Serbian teenager Hamad Medjedovic, top seed and home favourite Soonwoo Kwon as well as Australian Christopher O’Connell.
In his first meeting with Albot, the World No. 104 capitalized on six of his 12 break point chances to seal victory in two hours and six minutes.

By winning his fourth ATP Challenger career title, his first since the Czech Open in Prostejov 2020, Majchrzak took away from the Spo 1 Park in Busan, South Korea $21,600 in prize money as well as 125 ATP Ranking points.
