From today, supporters can buy tickets for the 2023 Davis Cup Finals Group C in Valencia after the International Tennis Federation (ITF) and event delivery partner Tennium announced the schedule of play for the event on 12-17 September.
Group C will be contested by hosts Spain, Serbia, Czechia and Korea Rep. with play getting underway at 1500 CET each day at the Pabellón Municipal Fuente de San Luis. Tickets for Group C can be purchased here.
The news was announced at a launch event in Valencia on Wednesday 17 May, where David Ferrer (Spain Davis Cup captain), Anabel Medina (Spain Billie Jean King Cup captain), Kelly Fairweather (ITF CEO) and Miguel Díaz Román (RFET President) were among those to meet local dignitaries and preview the event with local media.

Serbia v Korea Rep. (2nd Davis Cup meeting; Serbia lead rivalry 1-0)
Wednesday 13 May
Spain v Czechia (7th Davis Cup meeting; Spain lead rivalry 4-3)
Thursday 14 May
Czechia v Korea Rep. (first Davis Cup meeting)
Friday 15 May
Spain v Serbia (12th Davis Cup meeting; Spain lead rivalry 8-3)
Saturday 16 May
Serbia v Czechia (13th Davis Cup meeting; Czechia lead rivalry 7-5)
Sunday 17 May
Spain v Korea Rep. (3rd Davis Cup meeting; Spain lead rivalry 2-0)
[NB Serbia inherited the former Yugoslavia’s Davis Cup record, while Czechia inherited Czechoslovakia’s Davis Cup record]
Three of the four teams in Group C this year also competed in Valencia during the 2022 Davis Cup Finals Group B, with Spain advancing to the quarter-finals (alongside eventual champions Canada) and the Serbian and Korean teams finishing in 3rd and 4th place in the group respectively. Spain recorded 3-0 victories against both Serbia and Korea Rep. in 2022, and Serbia defeated Korea Rep. 2-1.

The event in Valencia in 2022 was a fantastic representation of what the Davis Cup is all about – players giving their all for their countries in front of loud, passionate supporters – and we are looking forward to seeing more of the same this year. We will be announcing the schedules and ticket details for the other three Groups over the next few weeks as we continue to build the excitement for the latter stages of this year’s Davis Cup.”

David Ferrer, Spain Davis Cup captain, said: “We are delighted to return to Valencia to play the Davis Cup, it is always good to play at home. We have a really competitive group so it will not be easy, but I am confident that we will be at our best and able to advance to the Final 8 in Malaga again. We count on the Valencian and Spanish fans to support us as they did last year, and I encourage them to buy their tickets and come cheer for us. Their warmth and support always make a huge difference, and what better place than Valencia to enjoy the best tennis in the world.”
Anabel Medina Garrigues, Spain Billie Jean King Cup captain, said: “As a Valencian, I am very happy that we are hosting Group C of the 2023 Davis Cup Finals. Valencia has a tennis tradition of many years and I am sure that it will be a great show for all Valencian fans. I wish David Ferrer all the luck in his debut as captain and I hope that Spain is one of the nations that qualify for the Final 8. It will be a spectacular end to the year for tennis fans in Spain with this event in Valencia followed by the Billie Jean King Cup Finals in Seville and the Davis Cup Final 8 in Malaga in November. I hope that the Valencian and Spanish fans come to support the team as they have always done when we have played in Valencia”.
Elsewhere in the competition Italy, reigning champions Canada, Sweden and Chile will contest Group A in Bologna while Great Britain, 2022 runners-up Australia, France and Switzerland will contest Group B in Manchester. Group D will feature hosts Croatia, Netherlands, USA and Group Stage debutants Finland at a venue to be announced in due course.
The Group Stage events will be played in a round-robin format with the top two teams in each group progressing to the Final 8 in Malaga (21-26 November).
