“I am very happy for the week I did. I played at a very good level both tennis-wise and mentally. I feel happy and I want to keep playing like this for many more weeks,” said Diaz Acosta, who arrived in Europe fresh from his title win in Savannah, United States.
“I liked the conditions very much. I didn’t have much time to get to know the city well, but I liked the little I saw. I leave Portugal very happy and if there are more tournaments I’ll be here for sure.”
By winning his third ATP Challenger career title, his second of the season, Diaz Acosta earned €9,880 in prize money as well as 75 ATP Ranking points.
