Nicolas Jarry has captured the title of Gonet Geneva Open. The 27-year-old from Chile defeated fourth-seeded Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov 7-6(1), 6-1 in Saturday’s singles final of the ATP 250 clay-court event.
Jarry, who upset former Geneva champions Casper Ruud of Norway and Germany’s Alexander Zverev en route to his second final in the second-most populous city in Switzerland, hammered eight aces and won 89 per cent of his first-serve points to seal victory in one hour and 36 minutes.

“I feel amazing,” said Jarry. “It has been a great year. After all the work with my team and family we are having a great year and I am very happy for that. It is very special. Two finals, one title here. I am very happy.”
Jarry lifted his fourth career trophy on the ATP Tour, his second of the season following his triumph on home soil in Santiago in March. He earned €85,605 in prize money as well as 250 ATP Ranking point and is up 19 spots to World No. 35 in the Pepperstone ATP Live Rankings.
