Tiafoe Advances To Houston Quarterfinals

Aleksandar Kovacevic from United States played two of the longest matches recorded history (since 1995) of the Fayez Sarofim & Co. U.S. Men’s Clay Court Championship this week. His second round loss Thursday to No. 4 seed Tomas Martin Etcheverry of Argentina is the longest US Clay match, lasting three hours and 35 minutes. His opening round win Tuesday is tied for third longest at three hours and 16 minutes.

No. 3 seed Frances Tiafoe needed just two hours and 14 minutes in his opening match to beat Australian James Duckworth, reaching the quarterfinals of the ATP Tour 250 tournament in Houston.
