Alejandro Tabilo has clinched the title of the Mallorca Championships presented by waterdrop, becoming the first man from Chile in the Open Era to lift a trophy at a grass-court tournament. The No. 4 seed of the ATP 250 event in Santa Ponca, Calvia defeated first-time finalist Sebastian Ofner from Austria 6-3, 6-4 in Saturday’s singles final.
Tabilo sent down five aces, saved all three break points he faced and capitalized on two of his own five break-point opportunities to succeed in one hour and 14 minutes.

“It’s been an unbelievable year,” said Tabilo, who clinche his maiden title on the ATP Tour in Auckland in January this season. “All the support of all the Chileans at home, my team, my girlfriend. It’s been a crazy year. It’s been very nice, this whole level I’ve been playing. Hopefully I can keep it up and just keep showing what I can do.”
By winning his second ATP Tour career title, Tabilo earned €141,795 in prize money as well as 250 ATP Ranking points.
“It’s an unreal feeling,” said the World No. 24, who was just inside the Top 150 this time last year. “I can’t believe it. Hopefully I can keep on going up.”
