Yasmine Mansouri of France has been crowned the singles champion of the VIII ITF Women’s Open Castilla y León Villa de El Espinar. In Saturday’s final, she triumphed over Bulgaria’s Lia Karatancheva 6-2, 6-7(5), 7-5, in a grueling two hours and 52 minutes match.

Mansouri had a match point before the tie-break of the second set, and in the third set, she saved two match points before breaking again and serving for the title, avoiding a second tie-break.

The 23-year-old claimed her first ITF World Tennis Tour W35 title and the most significant of her professional career. Previously, she had won two titles and reached three finals in ITF World Tennis Tour W15 events and one final in a W10k event, all in Tunisia.
