Kopriva Conquers Szczecin Open Crown

Vit Kopriva has captured the title of the Invest In Szczecin Open. The No. 5 seed of the ATP Challenger Tour 125 clay-court event defeated Italian Andrea Pellegrino 7-5, 6-2 in Sunday’s singles final.

Kopriva sent down five aces and won 67 per cent of his first-service points. The 27-year-old from the Czech Republic broke his rival five times to prevail after one hour and 48 minutes.

By winning his fourth ATP Challenger Tour title, his first of the season and biggest of his career, Kopriva earned €20,300 in prize money as well as 125 ATP Ranking points.

The 31st edition of the Szczecin Open offered a total prize purse of €148,625 and was held at the Mosrir Courts in Szczecin, a historic city in northwestern Poland, near the German border.

Situated on the Oder River and close to the Baltic Sea, Szczecin serves as a key port and shipbuilding center. Known for its unique blend of Gothic, Baroque, and modern architecture, it features landmarks like the Pomeranian Dukes’ Castle and St. James Cathedral.
