Defending Australian Open champions Jannik Sinner of Italy and Aryna Sabalenka of Belarus are not only back to defend their Happy Slam titles. They are both the No. 1 seeds in the men’s and women’s singles draws for Australian Open 2025.
Both Sinner and Sabalenka will be going for their second straight major title after winning the 2024 US Open last summer. Sabalenka has won the Australian Open women’s title each of the past two years.
On Wednesday, the top 32 seeds for both the men’s and women’s singles draws were revealed and follow the current PIF ATP Rankings and PIF WTA Rankings. However, with women’s World No. 10 Barbora Krejcikova of Czechia withdrawn due to injury, the ranked players below her from No. 11-33 have moved up one seeded position in the women’s seeds.
The Australian Open 2025 main draw reveal will take place on Thursday on the steps of Margaret Court Arena in Melbourne Park at 2:30 p.m. local time (4:30 a.m. CET). Reigning champions Sinner and Sabalenka will bring in the AO trophies to the official draw.
