Coric Clinches Challenger Citta Di Lugano Title

Borna Coric has captured the title of the Challenger Citta di Lugano. The No. 2 seed of the ATP Challenger Tour 75 indoor hard-court event defeated top seed Raphael Collignon of Belgium 6-3, 6-1 in Sunday’s singles final.

Coric advanced to the title match with victories in the bottom half of the draw over Belgian Gauthier Onclin, Frenchman Antoine Escoffier, No. 6 seed Henri Squire of Germany and Croatian qualifier Dino Prizmic.

Coric didn’t face a break point and capitalized on four of his own eight break-point opportunities to secure victory in only 58 minutes.

The 28-year-old Coric, champion of three ATP Tour tournament, celebrated his fourth triumph on the ATP Challenger Tour. It has marked his first victory since the ATP Masters 1000 in Cincinnati 2022. Coric collected €12,980 in prize money as well as 75 ATP Ranking points.

The fourth edition of the Challenger Citta di Lugano offered a total prize purse of €91,250 and was held at the Padiglione Conza.
