On the eve of this year’s Porsche Tennis Grand Prix, which kicks off the European spring clay season for the WTA Tour, the 16-player qualifying draw was revealed Friday at Porsche Arena in Stuttgart, host site of the 500-level indoor red clay tournament since 2006.

Top-seeded is No. 46 Dayana Yastremska of Ukraine, who will face Ana Konjuh of Croatia, ranked 534th, on Saturday in the first match of the day on Court 1. The 24-year-old from Odessa, whose career-best ranking has been 21st, sports a 12-8 win-loss record this season.

Meanwhile, Konjuh, 27, has split her time this season between the ITF Tour and playing WTA Tour qualifiers. She’s 10-11 in all competitions. A former Top-20 star, Konjuh has been battled a variety of elbow and ankle injuries over the past several seasons that have snake-bitten her once promising career.
