What a setting for a tennis match! To mark the beginning of a new partnership between MatchMaker Sports GmbH and MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company — the world’s largest shipping line and now the title sponsor of the MSC Hamburg Ladies Open WTA 250 tournament (July 13 to 20) — a tennis court was created in the heart of the Port of Hamburg, nestled between towering shipping containers near the Waltershof container terminal.

Tournament ambassador Andrea Petkovic didn’t hesitate to seize the opportunity. Under radiant sunshine, she took to the “Harbor Court” and hit a few balls between the massive MSC containers. The result? Not only a stunning set of photos and video footage, but also a reminder: “Petko” still has the skills!
“That was truly spectacular! A huge thank you to our title sponsor MSC for bringing this vision to life with such an incredible setup. The container court was a one-of-a-kind backdrop and the perfect way to kick off our collaboration,” said tournament director Sandra Reichel, delighted by the elaborate setting created for the shoot.
“The photoshoot was the perfect prelude to our commitment to the MSC Hamburg Ladies Open,” added Nils Kahn, CEO of MSC Germany. “We’re looking forward to an exciting tournament in July, filled with thrilling rallies against the equally impressive backdrop of the Rothenbaum Tennis Stadium.”
